First off, I have waited over 6 mos to make this review. I wanted to make sure that I wasn't overreacting to the situation. Having had time to let it settle, I wanted to express my opinion so other potential buyers can be aware. Over the summer I purchased a boat from Kellie Moody with Rhode River. I was very disappointed with the way the buying experience went. From the onset, Kellie had an very bad attitude and was very difficult to work with. I provided all deposits and information on a timely basis and she still made it seem like she was doing me the favor of selling me the boat, not the other way around. On several occasions she used the threat of selling the boat to another buyer to push the sale. This was after I sent the agreed upon deposit in a timely manner. Brian Connor finally stepped in and made some practical decisions regarding the transaction, and we were able to finalize the deal. All that being said, there are plenty of places to buy an expensive boat. In my opinion, the thing that separates the crowd is the attention to customer service. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Rhode River to any one.

Fantastic experience! I expected buying a boat nearly 300 miles away would present some challenges. I was completely wrong. Kellie was amazing from beginning to end! She went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable with the purchase. I received prompt responses to all my questions and she always made me feel at ease. The previous owner forgot to include a cushion on the boat and she offered to track it down and ship it to me... after the sale! Amazing experience and the best part was I got a great deal. I would definitely do business with Rhode River and Kellie again!
